Frequently asked questions

  • We use the Hollywood Spectra by Lutronic (we call her “Holly”). An FDA-cleared Nd:YAG laser system, the Spectra uses short pulses and nano-acoustic technology to effectively break down tattoo ink. This powerful laser has four wavelengths to treat a full range of ink colors and is safe on all skin types.

  • Our laser breaks up your ink into small particles that will then be processed by your immune system. Because tattoos involve many layers of ink, the removal process will require multiple sessions, spaced 6+ weeks apart. This gives your immune system time to work its magic!

  • Tattoo removal feels like a hot rubber band snapping on the skin. Treatments are much faster than tattooing itself, and we use ice and Cryo-air to numb the area. Pain levels vary based on location, density, size and individual pain tolerance. Healing includes reactions like swelling, redness, tenderness and itchiness, and may include bruising and blistering. We will go over aftercare to set you up for success!

  • Price is based on the size of the tattoo. We do free consultations to determine the best treatment plan for you based on your goals. We offer 10% off 3 treatments up front (recommended for cover-up), 15% off 5 treatments up front (recommended as a start for complete removal), or you can pay each time you come in.

  • The time frame for removal is based on many factors, including size, density, color, placement of the tattoo, and your unique immune system. The average for complete removal is around 8-10 treatments, but we can get a better idea once we begin and see how you respond. For a cover-up, we recommend starting with 3 treatments, then consulting with a tattoo artist to see if the tattoo is ready! Cosmetic ink tends to take fewer treatments due to the lighter density, but due to the type or inks used, we cannot guarantee complete removal.
